Have you previously heard the saying “it’s not how you start out that matters, it’s how you finish”?
Longevity and “staying around long enough to win” are quite often talked about in the multi level marketing community and there’s no question that being consistent whilst you master any given task is vital.
However, with regards to delivering your business opportunity, you can’t beat a solid start and having the capability to correctly develop rapport and set the presentation up is a vital talent for good results. There is zero value in having the ability to close strong if you lose the person you’re speaking with prior to even commencing, correct?
1. You need to expect a positive outcome, your expectations heading in to the business presentation is what matters most: You aren’t compensated to present your opportunity, you’re paid to build a distributor base and a customer base. Plan to depart each presentation with either, or each.
2. Build rapport: Where possible, let the prospect lead into your presentation. Carry on establishing rapport and being genuinely interested by tuning in well until eventually they request you to begin explaining what you have to offer.
3. Discover what they are looking for (reason why): Be transparent and honest. This will build trust. Provide them with an “out option” to lower their walls and allow them to look at details with the purpose of evaluating whether they like it, instead of feeling as if you are going to convince them at all costs. This actually also relaxes you, and helps remove your emotions from the outcome. Eg:
“I have a passion for assisting people get what they really want. To ensure that I can determine whether what I have got is going to be advantageous for you, tell me, what exactly is it you want?”
“Fantastic. So, the purpose of today is for me to demonstrate what I’ve got. If you like it, then I will advise you how to begin. If not, well then at the least you maintained an open mindset”.
4. Tie everything to their ‘reasons why’ and set the expectation prior to starting presenting: “So, if I can show you a way to get (their reason why), when would you like to get going?”
Hopefully the above information helps you moving toward better mlm business presentations and now all you need to do is put this into process and you are well on your way!
